UPDATE ON OAKWOOD INN:
Update: Jan 2012:
The Oakwood Inn propery was placed in receivership in 2010. Buckingham Companies is moving forward with a plan to renovate the hotel, but also expand the number of homes, roads and piers on the property. Currently, the plans are stalled as the DNR considers the environmental impact of potential dredging and the higher density of piers and boats which are proposed for this area.
